The Dune #1

In my early childhood we lived on a cliff upon the sea. It was a lonely house. The nearest neighbor lived 500 meters away. For a 4-year-old child, that’s far. Behind our home stretched the dunes, which were for me a world of magic. It looked for me as a world full of adventures. One can think that this is a dull landscape, but for me it was the whole world. I used to explore the plants and the insects for hours.
Not many dunes left in Israel, wealthy people are building their homes near the beach, and slowly roads and concrete are conquering these dunes.
These series is a dedication to one of the earliest memories of my childhood

This could be Holland.. to us the dunes are crucial not for our memories but safety. I am looking forward to this serie..

Dunes are magic indeed, especially for a child ... Same effect on me here, Tali ...still now !!! Happily we still have a lot of them, they are protected for the invasion of wealthy people and tourists. It's a lovely dreamy picture taking us away to our childhood and it's showing an image that could have been taken here too. Let's play in the dunes together for today, as little girls on a discovery trip. Hugs, Yvette
