Too many options

Recently my postings on this blog have been down.
Due to loads of work and too many options.

We are the lucky ones, living a world where everything is possible.

Focussing on making money these days, or rather making a living.
Short stories can be followed on www.monuments.nu
Meanwhile I'll keep on posting here, though not as much as before.

Once in 5 years I stop taking pictures for a while. That time seems to be now.
Time to let my eyes rest. See it but not push the button is sometimes as revealing as pushing the button...

Photography is an act that happens withouth the camera. The click is the result of looking, thinking and finally make a decision.
The matter of the click can be left out.
The image still stays in your mind.

it just hit me.. you can see the same place (but another view) in the trailer of "war of the worlds".

Madelien is totally right..
Life is all about choices and sometimes we just have to give ourselves some space.. take care and as long as you don't lose the fun in taking pictures, it'll be fine!

Ik ben nog niet zo lang bezig met fotografie, maar ik denk dat ik begrijp wat je bedoelt. Er zijn tijden dat ik misschien mijn camera niet bij heb maar wel rondloop met een denkbeeldig "kader" zwevend voor mijn ogen, en andere momenten heb ik misschien twee camera's in m'n rugzak steken, maar loop ik een interessant beeld voorbij met m'n handen in m'n zakken en m'n blik op de grond gericht. Het komt, inderdaad, in fases. Ook de opties komen me bekend voor. Ik denk dat we in dat opzicht niet veel van elkaar verschillen: één keer je 't pad fotografie-grafische vormgeving-webdesign opgewandeld bent, zullen je keuzes en je interesses nooit meer welomlijnd zijn. Alles is interessant genoeg om even je aandacht te verliezen, en als je even niet oplet, blíjf je gewoon zoeken, veelzijdigheid heeft z'n grenzen. Gelukkig is Photoblog een community die je niet loslaat, een gemeenschap met een lange-termijn geheugen. 't is perfect toegelaten om de draad terug op te nemen na een paar weken, zelfs maanden inactiviteit, om dan weer meteen met open armen ontvangen te worden.
