Pashupatinath is one of the most important Shiva temples on the subcontinent.
In February/March each year, the festival of Maha Shivatri celebrates Shiva's birthday with a great fair at the temple. Pilgrims and Sadhus (wandering holy men) come from all over Nepal and India for the festival.

The first sunrays slowly were changing the mystical and religious mood into a colourful happy mood... A real invitation to everyone to celebrate Shiva's birthday !
