If I could only put
the images in words
If I could only make
my visions take the stage
I'd colour all those greys
I'd make the colours dance
I'd show you what I see
When life's behind the glass

Jo/Today

One lesson I have learned in life is that it takes more than a camera to become a photographer

Hi, Jo.

Nice picture; nice words - in spite of your final part ("one lesson I have...") is too obvious, on my opinion.

Please don't worry about "to be or not to be a photographer". I think we show, through the pictures we take, a small part of what kind of people we are, it doesn't matter if we are talented photographers or not.

Some time ago I wrote, on my "about", fhe following:

*

Photographers don’t use to be in pictures — we use to say.

That 's not true!

We appear in all the pictures that we make.

However, it is not our face that appears there.

It is our culture; our beliefs, our soul.

You see our pictures through our eyes.

My pictures and texts tell who I am.

They show what kind of photographer I am.

But they show, much more, the kind of person I am.

I photograph the ephemeral scenes of life.

Life is ephemeral.

Krébus.

Kisses.

Hi Jo, good to "see" and "read" you, my friend !!!
The camera is only a tool ... as long as the soul is not involved fully, we aren't photographer !!! You left a part of your beautiful soul in your latest comment on my blog.
Love, Yvette

I completely agree with you, it takes very much more than a camera to become a photographer. It even takes more than all the things one can learn at college. One has to make the images work. It is so difficult - so very difficult.
