faces, common faces
faces like yours and mine
faces stained with tears
faces without a smile
faces of those who suffer
of those who have none to care
the many faces of poverty
faces we shan't forget

Some time ago I was called "voyeur" for the photos I take and post. I call myself a Utopian who has a dream of equality and justice for all, and who hopes that with the photos showed, at least one person, gives a thought to those nameless, but painfull faces and decides to give a hand.

hello, long time has passed since i came here... gessing you would remember, you are one of my post precious friens in this comunity, co, comming back would mean, comming here.

i looked at this pic, and thought to myself, jo must be the only person in the world that takes pics of homeless poor people, and when looking at them i dont feel like they have been stolen.

that is kind of a magic just good people can do...

Then i read the text and thought...people that say that are stealing theese photographed persons, they are stealing the love you put on them just by existing.

You make your photos of the poor out of compassioin, hoping for a better world for them. Many a photographer just makes a beautiful picture, like they make beautiful pictures in the zoo - they don't think about the implications of being poor or of being imprisoned in a cage...
Having said this, I now turn to your photo. It is impressive, moving and tells us so much about the human condition, about your compasion. It is a very good and honest photo. Respect.

I think people that call you a voyeur can't stand that you make them look at what they mostly look away from... and that's a wonderful gift of a photographer.
