Merry Christmas

 e-mail to a friend
It's not about unwrapping presents,
Under a colorful Christmas tree,
Secretly thinking our gift was better,
Than the small one we just received.
It's not about being kissed and cuddled,
Under the old mistletoe tree,
By that stranger who's lips are smiling,
Yet, we don't know how his heart feels.
It's not about getting together,
Wearing new clothes for Christmas brunch,
Nor are the drinks, deserts and coffee,
Family stories, gossip and smiles.
My wish is that on Christmas morning,
We wake up feeling we're not alone,
We have been given the gift of friendship,
Which we should make last all year long.
Jo / Always
I wish you peace.... and love
